Collio is not the first connected Mapuche movement social is shot dead by police, that under the governments of the Concertación. Juan Antonio Suarez (2002)
Second Brother Suarez, Lonko Malla Malla, and member of the High Council Lonkos Bio-Bio, Jorge Suárez Marihuan ( 27 years) died under mysterious circumstances in the mountain range of the Mapuche homeland. His body was found on December 11, 2002 on the banks of the river Queuco, after spending two weeks away. As stated in the autopsy report, the cause of death would be drowning, but "injuries caused by third parties."

Lemun Edmundo Alex Saavedra (2002)

Lemun Edmundo Alex (17 years) was shot in the head near the Fundo Santa Elisa, Forestry Mininco. Lemún participated in a land reclamation Mapuche Community driven "Montutui Mapu" Aguas Buenas sector of the town of Ercilla. The Young received a riot shotgun from Marco Aurelio Treuer, then Mayor of Police.
Lemún Alex spent five days in the German Clinic Temuko, died on November 12. Huentecura Llancaleo Julio Alberto (2004)

Julio Alberto (30 years), member Meli organization Witran Mapu in Santiago, was killed on September 26, 2004 within the Prison Service of the Chilean capital. The Mapuche youth was attacked by other inmates of the prison, died of a stab in the heart. Huentecura was a prominent member of the Mapuche movement and he weighed a number of court cases related to land claims in the Mapuche nation.
Despite the opposition of his family, Huentecura was taken by the prison authorities from Osorno to the criminal capital, premises where he was forced to share cells with common criminals, denied Gendarmerie of Chile for his political prisoner status. Necul Zeno Alfonso Diaz (2005)

Lonko Community member Mahuida, in the commune of Collipulli, Zeno Necul Alfonso Diaz (17), died late 10 May 2005, while participating in a peaceful mobilization character in the Route 5 south Viaduct Malleco sector. The boy was hit by a logging truck while demonstrating with other villagers on Route 5 South.
The event was related to the territorial claims of neighboring communities and reject the abuses perpetrated by private security guards Forest Mininco against holy sites and symbols of the communities. Appropriated according to the police, the truck driver rammed the commoner giving then fled. To date the authorities have not brought to justice the person responsible for his crime.

Catrileo Matías Valentín (2008)

Catrileo Matias Valentin (22) was killed on January 3, 2008 while participating in the peaceful occupation of the Fundo Santa Margarita, owned by Jorge Luchsinger in the commune of Vilcún. The boy was a student of Agronomy at the University of La Frontera in Temuco and was sympathetic Coordinadora Arauco Malleco.
As stated in the court report, Catrileo received an Uzi submachine gun burst out from the 2 nd of Police, Walter Ramirez Espinoza. Yañez (22 years) was a member of Anarchist Collective fist of Santiago. After attending the March 29 at a ceremony commemorating the Day of the Young Combatant in the Pudahuel, was intercepted by members of the Police Special Operations Group (GOPE), who was transferred to units of the 26th Precinct of Pudahuel.
As stated in the research, the young man was brutally assaulted in police custody, undergoing cardiac complications that forced police to order his transfer to a center Pudahuel hospital. Controlled their health status, Cariqueo was taken back to the police, units being transferred to the 1st Precinct.
After being released the next day, suffered a heart attack Cariqueo withering in his home. While his family members pointed to police torture that triggered his heart attack, prosecutors said Cariqueo West had no signs of abuse and responsibility for police dismissed. The autopsy report indicated the cause of death a "severe heart attack caused by a chronic cardiovascular disease."

Collio (24 years) was a member of the Community Pillar Requem the town of Ercilla. On August 12 participated in the peaceful occupation of the Fundo San Sebastian when he received a gunshot wound by an effective Police Special Operations Group (GOPE) of the Carabineros. The community member, parent of a 4 year old, was firing a 9 mm handgun police after resisting the onslaught and took refuge within the community Reque Cabrapan, adjacent to the estate in dispute.
